Ks1 Sports Day (Fernworthy, Avon and Taw)  

Friday 27th June PM

1.30pm-3.15pm (variety of stations including sack race, egg and spoon, sprint and long distance races) Please walk up to the school field at 1.20pm when the gates are opened. At the end of Sports Day all children will go back to class with their class teacher to be dismissed as normal at 3.15pm, please pick up from your child’s class

All activities will be on the school field. There will be a mixture of fun and competitive activities and races. Spectators are welcome, there will be a seating area with tarpaulin, benches and chairs in the parental areas in view of all the stations. Please can we ask that you refrain from taking photographs with other children in, and posting them on social media. It would be fantastic if you could join us in celebrating an amazing year of school sport after gaining the School Games Platinum Award last year. The PTA will be selling refreshments for parents and families on the day including hot and cold drinks, snacks and bakes, there will be ice lollies for children that can be purchased as you exit our school grounds. KS1 Children will be stopping activities at 12.15 for a normal lunch break, please can all parents and families exit the school for a break before the afternoon competitive races start at 1.20.
