Viking Artwork!
We’ve also been exploring our Viking topic in Art. The children used a variety of drawing techniques—such as stippling, flicking, hatching, and blending—to design the front covers for their journals.

Outdoor Learning
In Outdoor Learning this week, we took our creativity outside and used natural materials to bring our topic to life. The children thoroughly enjoyed making Viking-themed art, using sticks, leaves, and other natural items to build Viking ships and shields.

Persuasive Writing
In English, we have been exploring the topic of Iceland and learning about persuasive writing. The children practised using persuasive language by trying to convince Miss Marrow of ideas such as why chocolate is disgusting or why there should be no school on Fridays. They worked hard to choose powerful words, give clear reasons, and use persuasive techniques to support their arguments. At the end of the topic, the children created their own persuasive leaflets.
Christmas Tree Festival
We had a wonderful visit to the church for the Christmas Tree Festival. The children loved looking at the beautifully decorated trees made by the community and showed excellent behaviour throughout the visit.
