During our outdoor learning session, our class made tree nymphs to link with our topic of 'Groundbreaking Greeks'. The nymphs that the children created were all inspired by the Greek Gods and Goddesses that we have been researching and incorporating within our writing. The children had a brilliant time using their imagination to create these creatures, using the natural resources around us.

Visit to Eastleigh Care Home

On Tuesday 27th June, 6 children from our class were lucky enough to visit Eastleigh Care Home and spend some time with the residents. The children had a lovely afternoon painting, swapping stories and hearing some fantastic things about how schools used to run from two ex-head teachers! We have been invited back again, due to our lovely and warm behaviour towards the residents and members of staff - well done!"

Water competition writing

Last week, our Year 5's and 6's worked incredibly hard on their water competition ideas. We began by thinking about all the things related to water, some pupils came up with some lovely ideas related to sea creatures/mythical creatures/climate issues and bodies of water. During art week, we have been able to publish our stories, ready to be sent off to the Appledore Book Festival; fingers crossed for some competition winners!
