Miss Yeo Exe Class

Year 1 trip to Broomhill

Chinese New Year

We love learning to play the violin!

We used 2paint on purple mash to draw and label caterpillar eggs sitting on leaves.

We enjoyed hunting for minibeasts during outdoor learning and using our phonics to read their names on the tick sheet.

Our book in literacy this half term is The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We have been learning the story using pictures and actions this week and ordering the story.

outdoor learning fun! Making cakes, seesaws, fires and playing teachers.

We have been learning the story 'Funnybones' and taking part in lots of skeleton activities.

Here are some pictures from the first few weeks of term - we've been having lots of fun!

The year 1 children have been working hard to learn about the <, > and = signs and to recognise and use ordinal numbers in maths this week.

The children have enjoyed dressing up as WW1 soldiers and nurses in our role play area as part of our topic.

Exe Class! :)

The reception children have been making houses, people, windmills and other objects using 2d shapes this week to help them learn the names. They have started to be able to say how they know - Lily said "I know this is a triangle because it has 3 points".
