Printing Week

Painting Week

This half-term, we have been exploring the skills of painting. We have focused on colour mixing to start the week and explored tints and shades. Next, we will be exploring national galleries and painters.

The children had  lots of fun taking part in Bikeability this week!

Children in Need

Anti bullying Week!

Anglo-Saxon and the Vikings

We enjoyed learning about the lives of Anglo-Saxons and comparing them to the lives of the Vikings. We worked in groups to explore ideas, watched videos and shared ideas in class discussions.

Non-Electricity Day!

We had a great non-electricity day this week. We learnt more about COP26, renewable energy, Greta Thunburg and recycling. In the afternoon, we designed our own recycling monsters to help educate others about the importance of recycling.

This week, we have enjoyed preparing, digging and planting garlic. I will be checking the progress of our plant growing over this half-term.

In computing, we have been enjoying creating our own animations with Miss Heal!

Magnetic Games!

To finish our science learning about magnets, we created our own magnetic games. It was super fun to design, create and play our games with each other.

This half-term, we have had lots of fun learning about magnets and completing many different science experiments.

Exploring the history of the Anglo-Saxons

This week, we have been exploring the Anglo-Saxon settlements and Sutton Hoo.

Outdoor Learning

For our first session of outdoor learning, we have been learning about risks, prepping our vegetables planter and learning about knots. We worked in teams to tie knots and learnt about how to look after ropes. We will be using their skills in future forest school sessions.

Drawing Week

It was a great start to the term this week as we enjoyed getting to know our new class and had art week!

The children loved exploring drawing skills and created their own Viking inspired drawn shields for their journal front covers.
