British Science Week
We have had a fabulous British Science Week. We have made electrical circuits which included a motor and a switch. This was then attached to a brush to make a Moving Brush Monster! We had great fun when we raced the Brush Monsters in the hall. We also enjoyed watching a live science lesson which involved lots of explosions!!! The highlight of the week was when we watched a live lesson and saw a chick hatching out of an egg. We also thought about scientists and drew a picture to show what a scientist looks like. We had great fun in Outdoor Adventure Time planting seeds for our raised vegetable bed.

Friday 20th November
We had such a fun time in Lyn Class when we designed and made rockets for our aliens. We also thought about what we could teach our aliens about planet Earth. We collected some everyday objects and discussed the materials they are made from. We thought about how we could describe the properties of the materials as part of our science learning.
Friday 13th November
This week we had great fun creating our aliens. We used clay to make the bodies and added lots of different craft materials for decorations. Our aliens are going to feature in our own stories.

Thursday 22nd October
We have had an enjoyable last week to the half term. We have completed our double-page spreads on magpies which was our last activity linked to our English area of learning. Using the Chrome Books, we have learnt how to insert images and text into a Google slide and produced a presentation about our learning during our topic, 'Muck, Mess and Mixtures'. When we return after the half term holiday, we will begin our new topic 'Moon Zoom.'
This week we have enjoyed finding out about magpies as part of our English lessons. We completed research on the Chrome books and wrote about the interesting facts. On Thursday, we enjoyed a walk during our Outdoor Adventure Time in the beautiful autumn sunshine.
