At South Molton Community Primary School we feel that a child’s transition to school is very important and should be a positive and exciting experience. The benefits of a positive transition are that children settle quickly into their new school life and feel safe, secure and happy.
Devon County Council are responsible for the admissions in our area, to apply for a place at our school you need to contact them direct. Please follow the link below. We also follow Devon County Council's appeals process.
The transition from infant to all-through primary school is continuing with the addition of two new classrooms being added to the school by September. Plans have been submitted for a new block which will be built on the current staff car park area. The new block will be the KS2 unit and some years three and four will move into these classrooms. We are also currently advertising for a new teacher to join us in September 2017 as our school continues to grow. These are very exciting times and we will share information with parents as things develop. There will be an opportunity early in the summer term for parents to see plans and ask questions if they so wish.
